Crochet Hat Pattern for Bulky Yarn
I love an easy to make pattern that looks more complicated than it is. This new pattern of mine really fits that bill.
I would call this an advanced beginner/ intermediate project. If you are comfortable with the stitches listed below, I think you can follow this pattern even as a beginner. The photo section should clear up any confusion about where to put the stitches.
I have made this with every variety of chunky weight yarn (size 5) I have also made this hat in a variety of yarns held together to equal about that weightish. This pattern is pretty flexible and I tell you how to make some modifications for sizing if your yarn isn’t QUITE at gauge.
This pattern has modifications for 2 different styles of hat band as shown in the pictures. A plain ribbed band and a fold up ribbed band.
As written this is sized to fit most adults but I have included modifications for making this hat in an adult M/L and a child size as well.
This pattern is now available in my Etsy shop and in my Ravelry shop. Details about the pattern and links directly to this specific pattern are below. If you don’t crochet and you’d like to have me make one of these for you, please feel free to send me a DM on etsy, or instagram!
